Hatch
Quarter Horses
Here at Hatch Horses we raise registered AQHA quarter horses that are great for on the ranch,
in the arena, on the trails or a backyard family horse.  We breed them to have confirmation,
class and cow. Once we accomplish this, color is just an added bonus. Our horses have been
used for many things including barrel racing, team roping, calf roping and horse racing.  Our
families have raised horses for several generations. We love raising them with our young
children and we know that we learn life's lessons best in the process and lifestyle it brings.
The majority of our horses come from my father, Gary Hatch's Cheyanne's Dude,
an AQHA palomino stallion (deceased June 2010).  He was an excellent horse
with his lines going back to Blondy's Dude, Jet Deck and Rosewood Chip, a great
grandson of Driftwood.   Dude's offspring are scattered across the country at
competitions and on working ranches. We are partial to the Rosewood Chip lines
from Dudes pedigree, as he was bred and owned by a member of our extended
family.  Tenney Lamoreaux, my great-uncle, owned him until he passed away.
Tenney was also a major part of influencing my father's love and knowledge of
horses. My father has continued to pass this passion on to his children. Our
Trevor and Gena Hatch family has been blessed to own a few of Rosewood
Chip's offspring. Though he wasn't ever promoted, as he was used primarily on
the Deseret Cattle Ranches, and those who come to own one don't want to part
and keep coming back for more. You will not be disappointed!
